On this day in 1980, ‘Sara’ peaked at No. 37 in the UK Top 40 Singles chart.
Some sources say it reached No. 34, but they’re a minority. Anyway, everyone agrees that the No. 1 record that week was ‘Brass In Pocket’ by The Pretenders. And, as Chrissie Hynde was and is another of my all-time heroes, how amazing is it to see them together? Yep.
